What is Alphagan Eye Drop?

Alphagan Eye Drop contains Brimonidine Tartrate, an alpha-adrenergic agonist used to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by decreasing fluid production and increasing fluid drainage from the eye, preventing optic nerve damage.

Uses of Alphagan Eye Drop

How Does It Work?

How to Use

• Wash hands before use.

• Tilt head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid.

• Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 2-3 times daily or as prescribed.

• Close your eyes for a few minutes after application.

• Do not touch the dropper tip to prevent contamination.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using other eye medications.

Side Effects

• Common: Eye irritation, dry eyes, blurred vision, mild itching.

• Less Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, eye redness.
