Description:

Budecort Inhaler 100 is an inhaled corticosteroid containing Budesonide, used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Budesonide works by reducing inflammation in the airways, making it easier to breathe and preventing asthma attacks. This medication is delivered via a metered-dose inhaler (MDI), ensuring a precise dose of the medication with each inhalation.

Uses:

• Asthma: For long-term management and prevention of asthma symptoms, including wheezing, breathlessness, and coughing.

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Helps control symptoms like shortness of breath and wheezing in people with COPD.

• Respiratory inflammation: Reduces inflammation in the airways, improving lung function and reducing the frequency of flare-ups.

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Children (above 12 years):

  • 1-2 inhalations (100 mcg per inhalation) once or twice daily, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Children (below 12 years):

  • The dosage will depend on the doctor’s recommendation, based on the child’s age and condition severity.

• Administration:

  • Shake the inhaler well before use.

  • Breathe out fully, then place the mouthpiece in your mouth and inhale deeply while pressing the canister.

  • Hold your breath for a few seconds to allow the medication to settle in your lungs.

  • If a second dose is required, wait about 30 seconds before inhaling again.
