Product Description:

Hiflo 500 Rotacap contains Budesonide, a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the airways. It is primarily used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by preventing symptoms such as wheezing and breathlessness. This medication is not a rescue inhaler and should not be used to relieve acute asthma attacks.

Uses:

• Long-term management of asthma

• Maintenance therapy for COPD

• Reduces airway inflammation and prevents symptoms

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Children (above 12 years): 1 Rotacap twice daily, or as directed by a physician.

• Use with a Rotahaler (device needed to inhale the medicine properly).

• Do not swallow the Rotacaps.

• Rinse mouth after use to prevent oral thrush.

Side Effects:

• Common: Sore throat, cough, dry mouth, hoarseness

• Less common: Oral thrush, nausea, headache, dizziness

• Rare: Vision problems, allergic reactions, bone density loss (with long-term use)

Precautions & Warnings:

• Use with caution in patients with liver disease, osteoporosis, or infections.

• Avoid sudden discontinuation; taper the dose under medical supervision.

• Can interact with antifungal drugs, antibiotics, and certain heart medications.
