Description:

Lumigan Eye Drops contain Bimatoprost 0.03%, a prostaglandin analog used to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor (eye fluid), thereby lowering eye pressure and preventing optic nerve damage. It is also commonly used to enhance eyelash growth (hypotrichosis treatment).

Uses:

✔ Treatment of open-angle glaucoma
✔ Management of ocular hypertension
✔ Enhancing eyelash growth (hypotrichosis treatment)

Dosage & Administration:

• Glaucoma/Ocular Hypertension: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily, preferably in the evening.

• Eyelash Growth (Hypotrichosis): Apply a thin layer along the upper lash line once daily using a sterile applicator.

• Route of Administration: Ophthalmic (for external eye use only).

• Missed Dose: Apply as soon as remembered, but skip if it’s almost time for the next dose.

Side Effects:

✔ Mild eye irritation or burning sensation
✔ Temporary blurred vision
✔ Eye redness (conjunctival hyperemia)
✔ Darkening of the eyelid skin or iris (long-term use effect)
