Description:
Monocef 2 gm contains Ceftriaxone, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for treating severe bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial destruction. This antibiotic is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is commonly used in hospitals for serious infections.
Uses:
Monocef 2 gm is prescribed for the treatment of:
✔ Respiratory tract infections (Pneumonia, Bronchitis)
✔ Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
✔ Skin and soft tissue infections
✔ Intra-abdominal infections (Peritonitis, Cholecystitis)
✔ Septicemia (Blood infections)

Dosage & Administration:

Adults & Children (above 12 years): 1–2 gm once daily or as prescribed by a doctor.

Route of Administration: Intravenous (IV) or Intramuscular (IM) injection after reconstitution with sterile water or lidocaine (for IM use).
