Description:

Prodep 20 mg contains Fluoxetine, a widely used SSRI antidepressant prescribed for the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, helping to improve mood, emotional stability, and mental well-being.

Uses:

Prodep 20 mg is prescribed for:

✔ Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) – Helps alleviate symptoms of depression.
✔ Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – Reduces repetitive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
✔ Panic Disorder – Helps manage panic attacks and sudden episodes of fear.
✔ Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – Reduces excessive worry and nervousness.
✔ Bulimia Nervosa (Binge-Eating Disorder) – Helps reduce binge-eating and purging behaviors.

Dosage & Administration:

• Usual Adult Dose: 20 mg once daily, taken in the morning with or without food.

• Dose Adjustment: Depending on response, the dose may be increased to 40 mg to 60 mg per day.

• Route of Administration: Oral – Swallow whole with water.

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered. If close to the next dose, skip the missed dose—do not double dose.

Side Effects:
