Description:

Rexipra 5 mg contains Escitalopram, a widely used SSRI antidepressant prescribed for treating depression and anxiety disorders. It works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, thereby improving mood, reducing anxiety, and promoting emotional stability. The 5 mg dose is commonly used as a starting dose for patients sensitive to SSRIs or for gradual dose titration.

Uses:

Rexipra 5 mg is prescribed for:

✔ Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) – Helps alleviate symptoms of depression.
✔ Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – Reduces excessive worry and nervousness.
✔ Panic Disorder – Helps manage sudden episodes of intense fear.
✔ Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) (off-label use) – May help reduce repetitive thoughts and behaviors.

Dosage & Administration:

• Usual Starting Dose: 5 mg once daily, taken with or without food.

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered. If close to the next dose, skip the missed dose—do not double dose.
