Description:

Serobid Rotacaps contain Salmeterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that helps relax airway muscles and improve airflow to the lungs. It is used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) but is not meant for sudden asthma attacks.

Uses:

• Maintenance treatment of asthma

• Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Children (above 12 years): 1 Rotacap twice daily, or as prescribed by a doctor.

• Use with a Rotahaler—do not swallow the capsule.

• Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Side Effects:

• Common: Headache, dizziness, dry mouth

• Less common: Palpitations, muscle cramps, nervousness

• Rare: Allergic reactions, paradoxical bronchospasm

Precautions & Warnings:

• Not for acute asthma attacks—use a rescue inhaler instead.

• Should be used with an inhaled corticosteroid for asthma management.

• Caution is advised for patients with heart disease, diabetes, or thyroid disorders.

• May interact with beta-blockers, antifungal medications, and certain antibiotics.

Storage Instructions:

• Store at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Keep out of reach of children.
