Description:

Tenvir 300 mg contains Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF), an antiretroviral (ARV) medication used to treat HIV-1 infection and chronic hepatitis B. It works by blocking the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme, preventing the virus from replicating and reducing the viral load in the body.

Uses:

Tenvir 300 mg is prescribed for:

✔ HIV-1 Infection Treatment – Used in combination with other ARVs for HIV/AIDS management.
✔ Chronic Hepatitis B (HBV) Treatment – Helps control HBV replication, reducing liver damage risk.
✔ Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) (Off-label use) – May be used for HIV prevention in high-risk individuals.

Dosage & Administration:

• HIV Treatment & Hepatitis B: One tablet (300 mg) once daily, taken with or without food.

• Route of Administration: Oral – Swallow whole with water.

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as possible, but do not double dose.
