Description:

Vigore Gold 100 mg is a medication used primarily for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains Sildenafil Citrate, a PDE5 inhibitor that increases blood flow to the penis, helping achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.

Uses:

1. Erectile Dysfunction (ED): Enhances the ability to achieve and sustain an erection.

2. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) (Off-label Use): Sildenafil may also be used to manage PAH, improving exercise capacity and symptoms.

   Dosage & Administration:

• For ED:

  • The usual starting dose is 50 mg, but 100 mg is prescribed in cases where a stronger effect is needed.

  • Take one tablet approximately 30–60 minutes before sexual activity.

  • Do not exceed one dose per day.

  • Can be taken with or without food, but a high-fat meal may delay its effectiveness.

• For PAH (if prescribed):

  • Taken under medical supervision at a lower dosage, typically 3 times daily.

• Severe dizziness or fainting

  Precautions & Warnings:

• Do not take with nitrates (medications for chest pain) as it can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

• Avoid alcohol and grapefruit juice, as they can interfere with the medication’s effectiveness.

• Not recommended for men with severe heart conditions, liver disease, or recent stroke.

• Not for use by women or children.

   

Drug Interactions:

• Nitrates (Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide): Can cause a severe drop in blood pressure.

• Alpha-blockers: Can lead to low blood pressure.

• Certain antifungals & HIV medications: May increase Sildenafil levels in the body.
