Description:

Zepdon 400 mg contains Raltegravir, an integrase inhibitor (INSTI) used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs for the treatment of HIV-1 infection. It works by blocking the HIV integrase enzyme, preventing the virus from integrating its genetic material into human DNA, thereby reducing viral replication and helping manage the disease.

Uses:

Zepdon 400 mg is prescribed for:

✔ HIV-1 Infection Treatment – Used as part of combination antiretroviral therapy (ART)
✔ Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) – Helps prevent HIV infection after potential exposure (as part of a 3-drug regimen)
✔ Improves Immune System Function & Reduces Viral Load

Dosage & Administration:

• For HIV Treatment (Adults & Adolescents ≥12 years): 400 mg twice daily in combination with other antiretrovirals.

• For Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP): 400 mg twice daily for 28 days (along with other ART drugs).

• Route of Administration: Oral – Swallow whole with or without food.

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next dose—do not double dose.
