Description:

Augmentin Duo 1000 mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that combines Amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) with Clavulanic Acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor) to treat bacterial infections more effectively. Clavulanic Acid helps prevent bacterial resistance, making Amoxicillin more potent against resistant bacteria.

Uses:

Augmentin Duo 1000 mg is prescribed for the treatment of:

✔ Respiratory Tract Infections (Bronchitis, Pneumonia)
✔ Sinusitis & Ear Infections (Otitis Media)
✔ Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
✔ Skin & Soft Tissue Infections (Cellulitis, Abscesses)

✔ Dental Infections (Tooth abscess, Periodontitis)

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Adolescents (above 12 years): 1 tablet every 12 hours (twice daily) or as prescribed.

• Route of Administration: Oral – Swallow whole with water, preferably at the start of a meal.

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered unless close to the next dose—do not double dose.
