Description:

Paraxin 500 mg contains Chloramphenicol, a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections when other antibiotics are ineffective. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, preventing bacterial growth and spread. Due to its potential side effects, it is typically reserved for life-threatening infections.

Uses:

Paraxin 500 mg is prescribed for the treatment of:

✔ Typhoid fever and other Salmonella infections
✔ Bacterial meningitis
✔ Severe respiratory infections (Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Empyema)
✔ Rickettsial infections (Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Q fever)
✔ Anaerobic bacterial infections
✔ Serious skin and soft tissue infections

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Children (above 12 years): 500 mg every 6 hours, or as prescribed by a doctor.
