Description:

Lethyrox 125 mcg contains Levothyroxine Sodium, a synthetic form of thyroxine (T4), an essential thyroid hormone that regulates metabolism, energy production, and growth. It is used to treat hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) by supplementing deficient thyroid hormone levels. It is also prescribed for thyroid hormone replacement therapy, goiter, and thyroid cancer management.

Uses:

Lethyrox 125 mcg is prescribed for:

✔ Primary and secondary hypothyroidism
✔ Goiter (thyroid gland enlargement)
✔ Thyroid hormone replacement therapy after thyroid surgery or radiation
✔ Thyroid suppression therapy in thyroid cancer treatment

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: Common maintenance dose ranges from 25 mcg to 200 mcg daily, depending on individual needs.

• Usual Starting Dose: 12.5 mcg to 50 mcg per day, gradually increased as per doctor’s recommendation.

• Route of Administration: Oral – Take on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast, with water for best absorption.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet; swallow it whole.
