Description

Omnacortil 10 mg contains Prednisolone, a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation and suppress the immune system. It is used to treat a variety of inflammatory, autoimmune, and allergic conditions.

Uses

• Allergic Conditions – Asthma, skin allergies, anaphylaxis

• Autoimmune Diseases – Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

• Respiratory Disorders – COPD, croup, bronchial asthma

• Endocrine Disorders – Adrenal insufficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia

• Cancer Therapy – Leukemia, lymphoma, palliative care

Dosage & Administration

• Usual Dose: 10 mg once daily, or as prescribed by a doctor

• Take with food to reduce stomach irritation

• Tapering required if used for a long duration to prevent withdrawal symptoms

• Common: Weight gain, mood swings, increased appetite, insomnia, indigestion

• Serious: Osteoporosis, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, suppressed immune function, adrenal insufficiency
