Description:

Budecort Respules 1 mg contains Budesonide, a potent inhaled corticosteroid used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by reducing inflammation in the airways, helping to prevent asthma attacks and improve overall lung function. Budecort is delivered via a nebulizer for direct action in the lungs.

Uses:

• Asthma (Long-term management to reduce symptoms and prevent asthma attacks)

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

• Respiratory inflammation due to allergies

• Maintenance therapy for people with persistent asthma

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Children (12 years and older): 1 mg once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the condition.

• Children (6-12 years): 0.5 mg to 1 mg once or twice daily.

• For Nebulization:

  • Open the respule by twisting off the top.

  • Pour the contents into a nebulizer chamber and inhale through the nebulizer mask or mouthpiece.

  • Each respule is for single use only and should be administered immediately after opening.

Side Effects:

• Common:

  • Throat irritation

  • Cough

  • Hoarseness

  • Oral thrush (fungal infection in the mouth)

• Less Common:

  • Headache

  • Nausea

• Rare:
