Description:

Budecort Rotacaps 400 is an inhaled corticosteroid containing Budesonide that helps control asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Budesonide works by reducing inflammation in the lungs, helping to open up the airways and prevent symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath. The Rotacap formulation is used with a Rotahaler device (not included) to inhale the medication directly into the lungs for maximum effect.

Uses:

• Asthma: For long-term management of asthma symptoms and prevention of asthma attacks.

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Helps reduce inflammation and manage symptoms in COPD.

• Respiratory inflammation: Reduces symptoms related to airway inflammation caused by other conditions.

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults & Children (above 12 years):

  • 1-2 Rotacaps (400 mcg per Rotacap) inhaled once or twice daily as prescribed by a doctor.

• Children (below 12 years):

  • The dosage will depend on the doctor’s recommendation, based on the child’s age and severity of the condition.

• Administration:

  • Budecort Rotacaps should be used with a Rotahaler device (inhaler).

  • Do not swallow the Rotacaps; the powder should be inhaled through the device.

  • Open the Rotacap and place it into the Rotahaler, then inhale the medication through the mouthpiece.
