Description:
Combigan Eye Drop is a prescription medication used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It combines two active ingredients:
-
Brimonidine Tartrate: An alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that decreases aqueous humor production and increases uveoscleral outflow, thereby lowering eye pressure.
-
Timolol Maleate: A non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces aqueous humor production, contributing to decreased IOP.
This dual-action formulation effectively lowers eye pressure, reducing the risk of optic nerve damage and vision loss associated with glaucoma.
Uses:
-
Management of Elevated Intraocular Pressure: Effective in lowering high eye pressure in conditions like open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension when monotherapy is insufficient.

Recommended Dose: Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.
