Description:

X-Vir 0.5 mg contains Entecavir, an antiviral medication used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It works by inhibiting HBV reverse transcriptase, preventing the virus from replicating and reducing viral load in the body. Entecavir is prescribed to slow liver disease progression, fibrosis, and cirrhosis, improving liver function.

Uses:

X-Vir 0.5 mg is prescribed for:

✔ Chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Infection
✔ Helps Reduce HBV Viral Load & Liver Inflammation
✔ Prevents Liver Damage (Cirrhosis & Fibrosis Prevention)

Dosage & Administration:

• For Adults (Treatment-Naïve Patients): 0.5 mg once daily on an empty stomach.

• For Lamivudine-Resistant or Severe HBV Cases: 1 mg once daily (higher dose recommended).

• Route of Administration: Oral – Take on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours before or after meals).

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next dose—do not double dose.
