Indications:

Symbicort Turbohaler is used for:

1. Asthma: For regular maintenance treatment and symptom relief in patients requiring both an inhaled corticosteroid and a long-acting bronchodilator.

2. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): For symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe COPD in adults with a history of exacerbations.

Strengths Available:

• 80/4.5 mcg per inhalation

• 160/4.5 mcg per inhalation

• 320/9 mcg per inhalation

Mechanism of Action:

• Budesonide reduces inflammation and swelling in the airways, helping prevent asthma attacks.

• Formoterol relaxes the airway muscles, making breathing easier and providing rapid symptom relief.

Dosage & Administration:

• The dosage is determined by a healthcare provider based on the severity of the condition.

• Typically, 1-2 inhalations twice daily.

• For as-needed symptom relief, additional doses may be taken if prescribed.

How to Use the Turbohaler:

1. Remove the cap.

2. Twist the base to load a dose.

3. Inhale deeply through the mouthpiece.

4. Exhale slowly away from the device.

5. Rinse mouth after use to reduce the risk of oral infections.

Storage Instructions:

• Store below 30°C.

• Keep dry and away from direct sunlight.

• Replace the cap after each use.
