Description:

X-Vir 1 mg contains Entecavir, an antiviral medication used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It works by inhibiting HBV reverse transcriptase, preventing viral replication and reducing the amount of the virus in the body. Entecavir is a potent medication that helps improve liver function and slows down the progression of liver damage, fibrosis, and cirrhosis.

Uses:

X-Vir 1 mg is prescribed for:

✔ Chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Infection
✔ Helps Reduce HBV Viral Load & Liver Inflammation
✔ Slows Down Liver Disease Progression (Cirrhosis & Fibrosis Prevention)

Dosage & Administration:

• For Adults (Treatment-Naïve Patients): 0.5 mg once daily on an empty stomach.

• For Lamivudine-Resistant or Severe HBV Cases: 1 mg once daily on an empty stomach.

• Route of Administration: Oral – Take on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours before or after meals).

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next dose—do not double dose.
